Helle, there are pics before this, I'm sure, that I didn't comment on online (I probably said something about them to you privately, but I know I didn't comment online, in every case). I'm starting with this because I want to get to a bunch of your more recent uploads. I can go backwards after I'm finished. As you know, if I left shorter comments, I could do everything; but my comments are long, and so it's harder for me to leave comments on everything. I have a big mouth...and at age 68, I realize it's not getting smaller. (Maybe surgery will help...) So I'll get to as many as I can here.

I loved this shot because it shows the glistening feel of the petals, the little dots of light. And your light and shadow are mysterious and expressive. I love that a lot of it is in low light, while some is in higher light. And I love the yellow glow behind them, on top---it's almost eerie, a jaundiced yellow glow. A beautiful photo, both in zoom and in smaller size (display size). You caught and framed it as a beautiful portrait of the mystery of a beautiful flower. A really fine image.

(And btw---I think the reason some of our images come out larger, on RR, than they are in our computers is that they change the resolution. That will invariably change the size. I don't think there's a consistent treatment of our uploads, either in display or zoom. I've had the same problem: I zoom my image, and boom: It's about a quarter larger than the original, and therefore has more pixelization, etc. I've made my originals slightly smaller, to compensate. It's a pain, and you have my sympathies, believe me.)
