Description

Captured way back on 5/3/07, at the pretty Butterfly Pavilion, adjacent to the beautiful Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, California. The widespread use of the herbicide glyphosate by agrochemical companies and farmers has been wiping out milkweed, the primary food source of the monarch butterfly, subsequently having reduced its population by more than 90 percent since the mid-1990s. Ergo, take a good look, because what we have here in this beautiful creature is a highly endangered species.
