greens! mixed with yellows and reds and whites, etc. But it's all doused in greens. And such detail: Here you almost have Oceanic or African patterns, in the stripes and swirls and those rich greens and yellows. Some of the 'plates' on the bug are like intricately painted temple walls, with mythic characters dancing. Others are like intricately carved enamel or metal jewelry. Strong shadows separating them, and the lower section---above the tail---is very 'ritual'-like; while the bottom-most section is like a mask straight out of Africa or the Pacific islands. Terrific piece, terrific imagination.
