Description

Nothing spectacular here, just a bit of playing with Face Gen from DAZ. After seeing some of the images Daddywolf posted, I decided to go ahead and get it (even though it's a tad on the pricey side). Anyway, this is my first stab at doing something with it. The young lady is Amy, a model I did a lot of work with several years ago. I have a ton of photos of her, so I figured I'd see what FG could do. I'm pretty pleased with the result, although there is definitely room for improvement in some of the facial features - particularly the eyes. And of course if I had a hair figure closer to Amy's real hair it would help. I've included a vignette of Amy for comparison. Now, I've got to get back to work on the T.N.A. story. The Girls await. Oh, I got a new toy, too.. It arrived Friday - you'll see it pretty soon.... :-D Hope everyone had a great (short) weekend! Thanks for dropping by, and for all your comments and support!

This is so freakin' cool. I can't wait to see what you'll come up with going forward. Synth is using this program too as well as DW, I think.

To me? The shape of the eyes look great! The nostril width looks perfect. The chin and jaw line are really excellent. Maybe the human model's nose is a little fleshier at the tip. And I love this morph's hair!

Knockout work, my friend! Looking forward to more!

Yeah, the nose could use a bit of tweaking - the real Amy's nose tip is a bit rounder.

It Looks Great you will find it will get better as you play with it try adjusting the shaders or try Face Gen also has some Adjustment settings and try a side profile photo if the subject is smiling try using other lips and remove the lips from the head texture using a paint brush or Clone Brush I was about to buy Blacksmith when I found this

Looking good. Suggested tweaks...the hair looks "heavy"; no "spark" in the eyes; and as elsewhere suggested, round the nose a bit. But what a wonderful beginning.

100+, why you may ask 100 stars, because Amy and my daughter (at that age) could appear as twins! Wonderful work on this!

Same but different? Yeah, hair and eyes never look right. I've yet to see any that are convincing really. How does face gen compare to Posers face room?

this is an art I have no clue about---I can't imagine what's involved in making a 3D likeness from a photograph. You caught a lot of her essence; and the feel of her hair, if not every exact strand. This looks very hard. Very different from drawing/painting from a model. You got a lot of essence, and I like that Face Gen still is her own person. I also like how you framed Amy under FG. Purple is a fine background too. And btw, you got real character in Amy's face. I've never done portrait photography, but I sure do appreciate it. It's a very soft inviting portrait of her. In any case, this image looks very difficult, yet it feels very natural in your hands.
