Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Love it! I feel as though I'm doing it with you!
Electric woman, eh? I wonder what causes that.

Very low humidity creates static electricity. Touch some metal after walking across a rug and you really get zapped. I often get it when I reach to open my car door. But I digress. Nice slate of sketches this go around, Helle. Incidentally, I bought some anjou pears this morning. Dry, sunny and 27.8-Celsius here.

I'm baaaaaack! (Whoop-de-doo, Mark, whaddya want, a medal???) Ok. I did the bank and then saw a friend in need and had coffee--which I rarely drink, and I'm now gonna be up till next May---and then took care of some financial matters at home, and now---a Midnight---I'm back. I keep my word, HH!!! So, now to the final lap...
I loved these pieces when you posted them. You use water? Does it make the charcoal softer in appearance, or do you use it to give the paper more texture? Whatever it is, it feels like pencil work, and I love the fast, spontaneous feel, while at the same time you really got sculpted shapes and lots of intense shading. This is all about light from the left, and shadow on the backside of the pear and behind it as well. Two sources of light. These are wonderful. Variations on a theme---I think of warhol, again, even though these are much warmer than warhol's cooler-to-cold style. Simple and very expressive. And it looks like you got different colors on the paper---maybe the yellow is just shadow, but it looks like wash of some kind. Love these, Helle. Hope you do more. (They must be easier these days than doing elaborate drawings, because of your eye.) And a big gray frame to set them off!
