A variation on My roses for today #348, especially created for our very talented Mark on his birthday today. It is your birthday today or yesterday, isn't it? Number 68 or 69? It's a wonder I even remembered it today.
I would add more text in commemoration to my/our friend, but I am super under the weather today.

As you already know, I love this piece. I think the first dedi you ever did for me was titled "For Mark: Master of the Abstract". Something like that. The irony was, your abstract was every bit as good as mine ever were. And here you've done it again: This is really a painting, Harry. Some of your recent abstracts have remnants of objects in them, things from photos or whatever else was in the mix. But this is a painting, however you made it: You have areas of flat color, and great color schemes, esp pinks and reds, etc; with yellows and tans and greens, etc. A big cellular potpourri---It's terrific, Harry: Thank you so much, esp with all the health-assaults you've been dealing with; thank you for remembering me, and for your very kind words. I'm very grateful. (And yes, March 21st is the correct day.)
I hope you're doing better, health-wise. I'm sorry you were so under the weather, though with all the stuff you're dealing with, it's understandable. I hope you get better soon, and have your energy back once more. Get better soon, Harry, and thanks again for this terrific artwork for my birthday. And for going to this trouble when you were sick and exhausted. I greatly appreciate it, my friend.

''potpourri'' ! You couldn't find a better title for this painting, Harry:) Indeed, what i saw here, in this abstract composition, was a big field of flowers and I thought immediately in your roses, with which you brighten our days daily, spreading everywhere and doing a colorful and flaming carpet-- I almost felt their fragrance-- I love the shapes and your choice of colors. They are imposing. I could read how much Mark loved this painting and it couldn't be different, to say truth !! You did a amazing painting. It is a great dedi from a grand artist to another one! My compliments to you. I wish that this Spring Season, brings you more health and all the very best.
