Description
Still learning Daz 4.9. This is a nearly-finished (I think!) picture to accompany gaming stats for a Jedi healer character. Genesis 2 is all posed. I need to add the lightsaber, but Daz isn't a fan of Star Wars I guess.
I tried Vadlor's Galactic Sword, which I have used for years in Daz 3 & Carrara--but the blade isn't visible in the renders. Then I got Aeon Soul's G3F Lightsaber--and Daz cannot find the texture files. *I* can find them, they show up in the Content tab tree.(I suspect the runtime folder isn't quite where Daz is looking, even though I unzipped it into my default content.) Worse, I can't apply them manually to the model, even though I know exactly where they are; I cannot get anything in the Surfaces tab for that model. Worst case, I can export to Carrara & add the Vadlor prop in that program.
Meanwhile, I set about doing a simple scene. This is 3-D-C's Heroship cockpit, with all but the floor and rear invisible. So I could have something behind the open hatch, I added another of the cockpit model, back to back, plus a couple of the set's props. Then I still had a viewscreen, so I found a backdrop that looks close enough to the Star Wars hyperspace effect.
Other items are Nimue hair G2F, Medieval cloaks, and parts of Defiant (all Daz 3D)
This is an Iray render that took about 20 minutes.

Ain't 4.9 so much fun? I'm still trying to find all my old content, let alone remember where it is at.
Great scene you have created

Fun? Not so much. Half the time I can find something once, and the very next time I get on, I have No Clue where it is at, except it doesn't seem to be in the same place. I hoped that using the default install location via Install Manager would solve that problem, but nooooooo.
My old Power style content seems to be the worst. (I can find the Heroship files I used for this piece. But the SF Medbay by the same vendor, that I unzipped to the Exact. Same. Folder as Heroship? Still looking.) Now Spacer_01 tells me he's had similar problems with some G2 & 3 items not from Daz, so not just old Poser items.
And thanks for the compliment. Still trying to get the look I want. As well as a 'saber prop that will play nice with Daz 4.9
