Brings back memories of my day at Movieworld here on the Gold Coast in Oz and they plucked me out of the audience to play the Captain of an ill-fated B-17...BOOM !, neat crisp capture and lighting Richard.

~Cheers~

Good photo, well centered so we get an idea of elbow room and how many switches and dials there are to keep track of - almost like in a modern plane! Interesting to see how things look the same despite all the years. One thing strikes me - the pilots can't see down towards the ground. Must make for tricky take offs and landings (particularly if damaged!). Thanks for the post! More inside photos? Would be great to see more of the insides. :-)

Great capture. I always wonder how people can handle all these monotone intruments for navigation.

Wow what a lot gadgets and switches to have to learn.

Oh I guess I am not the only one-- Tues. was Wed. this week for me, this happens quite often since retiring.

One day rolls into the other, or rolls backward-- LOL.

Don't feel bad, I lost the 23rd and 24th - That's why I am only clicking the Like and Favorite buttons on many posts just to try and catch up :) Great shot of this cockpit!

I just love photos of the "front office" of aircraft - I can just get lost in here, looking at all the instruments. Those throttle levers on the center console are huge! What an amazing photo, Richard!

Quite a difference from the 'glass cockpits' of modern aircraft.
