I am a Musician, Luthier and above all, an Artist.
I have been an established artist in the traditional sense, since the late 1980's. My progression to the digital medium, was always going to be a natural progression. Though my progression has taken some time to develop, as most artists would appreciate.
I thank you for viewing my page.

Thank you radioham. I agree with you on the jag. But so too is a well made GibsonLP probably more so. But most times (as a luthier) weight = nice slow-growth dense timber = great sustain = happy as a pig in ...) as you would know all about I am sure. Hahaha. I was forced to sell my two hollowbodies a while back. Bills to pay. My Gretsch was one of them. Sad day. This pic was taken a few years back when I got the Ibanez (was a beautiful guitar to play).

Exceedingly well done. And modelled in the trusty warhorse Hexagon. Just goes to prove that it is not the tools but the artisan. There are no limits.

That's a nice compliment. Thank you :) ...best $14 bucks I ever spent too, just quietly. Same in the real world. People spend "minutes" turning out guitars and parts on milling machines. I'll do the same part with a chisel and files. Take a few more hours, But it'll probably have a bit more soul :)

Great !!

Very Nice Job so far I know how much work Hexagon is. 3dpmr has a freebie Gretsch style Guitar I used a few times https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/great-electric-guitar/25829
I have a Gibson ES 125t 1960 I had since I was 10 years old I would like to see an 3D model of it to use in a DAZ renders with Me Playing

Great work on this Gretsch ;) , and one more time, pictures that could leave people speechless posted in the comments... ;) - these guitar shots are amazing, the 4th one with the finished guitar would have it's well-deserved place on the galleries my friend ;) .

Thank you friends. Yeah Daddywolf, I have that one myself. It was my original reference for this. Though my first attempt looked very Gibson at the F-holes. Using actual pics this time round. Nice prop just the same. I just love the big bold F-holes on a Gretsch and the big broad headstocks. They're just so "made in America - big and chunky". I like the sound of your ES. Beautiful guitar to have I bet. Would sound so cool. My DC Semi-hollow is by an Australian company with their factory in China. I couldn't wait to modify it. My custom actually encouraged them to build a tremolo model :) The pickguard is Rosewood with oak binding. the tailpiece "custom" hole cover is in aluminium. It ain't a Gibson, But neither are the new Asian made "Gibsons" etc :) My Ripper bass came from the old hands at Kallamazoo though :) But yes, Hexagon is a challenge. I just can't get the UV maps to look like the surfaces they represent. I jag it now and then, but there is no consistency. It usually just looks like folded up paper! Fretboards are a critical nightmare. Thank you also Navi. But one would need to see the series of the guitar build to really appreciate the hours that went into it. It is solid oak with rosewood fingerboard and covers all hand carved, like my "scroll" P-bass :)
