Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

It's actually pretty good for the style. It reminds me of the type of painting that shows up sometimes in meeting rooms at smaller hotels. You look at it, it seems pleasant enough despite the lack of people, and then you realize it's an artists conception of the same building you're already in! But I can also understand why you weren't enthralled with the assignment. As pleasant as the picture is, by definition these things minimize the human touch. Regardless, thank you for sharing this!

I've seen professional architectural renderings that didn't look nearly as good as this, Helle! You did a wonderful job on it!
And I loved the clutter in your photos - it just makes you want to sit down and start playing with all the materials.

Rod mentioned architectural renderings: The thing about them is you work with T-squares and compasses and rulers and god-knows-what. You have grids too, sometimes---which don't show in the printed version---and so on. You may have used a ruler for these paintings---I don't know---but these seem more freehand than anything else; and that's what's so hard. Once you graph in the windows and ledges, you're on your own. It's a lot harder than rendering, because in rendering---for all its tedium and carefulness---you have the "crutches" of all that gridwork and tools to work with. (It's how I got my start in drawing, and developed my love for architecture.)
Love the perspective: This would've been a fine photo. (I assume you worked from a photo at some point? Or did you draw in person?) The accents of the ledges are fine, as is the presence of that big near-Soviet-looking building. And that little car is so free, as are the trees. Not fussy looking, even if you had to work hard on this. It has a very free feeling, yet plenty of detail...It's really sweet, Helle; and the blue in the sky frames the piece perfectly. I love this.
(And what does "Told Skat" mean? Ok I looked it up: Tariff taxes? Tax customs? "Skat" looks like it has a lot of meanings. One of them was "darling"---is that possible??? One word means "tax" and "darling" at the same time? Did I read that right? So that's the name of this customs office...I'm so glad you posted these, we can see more of your older work, and how much you've done, and how well...)
