I get ebots so I never see the thumbnails. When I saw your title I thought "Knowing Mike its probably a tree." Its a nice looking tree but I think you might be getting a tad predictable.

well I see that all the 'bark' puns have been used up, so I'll go silent. In full size, the drama of this trunk really comes home. Big black tears, surrounded by that paper-like bark---with pinks and yellows etc...really colored. And the surrounding makes it look like the only tree around (even though it may not be---the magic of photography!). Big bold beautiful capture of a tree's 'speech'. It's really beautiful close up.

(Don't think I'm not looking for a pun here...but I'm out...everyone did them already...)
