Hopefully the new additions will keep this historical relay station around a bit longer...?

Super lighting and composition.

Cool - I lived in Butterfield Estates Outside of Morino CA at age of 11 to12, and roamed the hills to our back. I came arcoss a lot of remnants of that Stage Line

Cool shot of this historic site, Richard. Wonder how big it was back in it's heyday..

It looks like a difficult shot to capture, because of the skew of all the stuff in it; but your photo has all the earmarks of your photography---clarity, balance, fine play between light and shadow, wonderful mix of textures, etc. And such a fascinating sight! It looks like a ruin, and the contrast of those sun-bleached stones with the wood and the grasses and those smooth hillsides on top, is very rich. A fine photo of a really unusual sight.
