It is a knot of wood on a painted portal : the paint has been scaled, the wood has split according to the dark circles, and the lichens are installed ... a story over the years! :)

Absolutely astounding, JC! I've read your response to Sue. I thought it was a tree trunk with some kind of white stuff around it. It reminded me of white chocolate. LOL. It's paint! Wow! Fascinating capture, my friend!!!
