Description

Yesterday a low pressure system moved into Arizona, creating high winds across the entire state. Here in the Phoenix we had gusts up to 40 mph and there were gusts of over 60 mph in some other locations across the State. Interstate I-10 to Los Angeles and Interstate I-8 to San Diego both had areas with blowing dust yesterday afternoon.. Right now at about 11:00 AM, I-10 is closed in southeast Arizona near the Arizona-New Mexico border due to blowing dust and along I-40 near Flagstaff visibility is poor due to blowing snow. As a result of this Low system the temperature dropped from a high of 90 F in Phoenix yesterday to a predicted high in the low 70s today.
