Description
I left this a little large so maybe the fence posts on the other bank maybe seen to the left of the large tree on the right
Brazos River at Washington on the Brazos State Park
if someone was to fall the posts would only inpail them if the fall did not kill

Probably meant to stop anyone (or animals) from getting to close to the eroding bank and being buried when it caves in, just a thought.

Actually, Windigo's comment makes sense, otherwise it's completely useless as a fence. Up here they cage certain spots in with wire mesh.
