Description

Starting to feel more adventurous by using a pre-made set complete with lights and cameras. Just added Aiko 3 and the Scorpion to round out the image. I was rather not impressed in my view port but after I rendered it, I was very impressed! I hope you are as well. Thanks again all of you for your support and helpful words

Yep, with Iray, you can't rely on the viewport to give you an accurate idea of what the final product will look like. You will get a feel for it though, and at the very least you'll get a surprise. (Of some kind).

Scorpion is kinda cute!

Well if you are going to go into a creepy castle its best to bring a friend with you that can frighten the spirits. You're coming along with Daz very nicely.

this thing has a ton of detail full size. (Full size it crosses my street and breaks into my neighbor's living room...) Love the deep dark details of this mysterious castle. As for Aiko, she has the quality of a fairy goddess just dropped out of the heavens. SUch smooth light and shadow. And she really stands out against all the medieval background. As for the scorpion, he's wearing a dark metal suit today (different from an earlier upload), and he seems right at home in this castle. Sweet sheen on his surface. Striking work, Mike.

Dangerous friends she has, but Miho approves :)... Yup, most of the time looking at the Daz viewport, one can't really make out if the render will look good. Only after the rendering starts that becomes clear. The more adventurous you are the better things will be ;) !

I have a feeling that You and Manbat and a few others have something to learn about Iray If you Know it Ok well it is for the ones who Dont Know. it is called the Draw Setting Pane if set to Iray it will Give you a View of what your scene Will Look Like when Rendered it's Icon looks like a Ball with a Gear if it is not next to the little camera Icons you can go to Window Panes (tabs) Draw settings It has Several Setings NVIDIA Iray,Cartoon Shaded,Texture Shaded ,and about seven others Texture shaded is Probly the Defalt and that is why you can't see what your Iray render Looks Like But it is Easy to move your Figures around in this setting. Set it to NVIDIA Iray wait a few Seconds and watch it Develop!

This looks really great, Mike! I do hope the scorpion is well behaved!

I've used that preview Daddywolf mentioned - it works pretty well for things like getting a good feel where the shadows will fall. I usually use texture shaded as it's a bit faster when setting up the scene, but the Iray preview is great for seeing what the final render will look like.
