Story :
Miho was back at the mysterious temple in the middle of a desert. This time the wolf and me also joined her. We had driven in a jeep which had seen better days. But Miho had worked on it before we set out so it was running as good as new. Once we reached the site, Miho was in for a surprise. There were huge trees near the temple that where not there when she had first visited this place. Also there is no way in the short time the trees could have grown that big. And though the leaves looked dead and dried, it actually was not. Something odd was going on around here.
But before Miho started to run through her tests and try to unravel the mystery of the trees, I asked Miho to pose for me near the stone carvings she had found the last time she had visited this place. She was happy to oblige. While I was taking the photos, the wolf turned up and slowly approached Miho. He had found something and wanted to tell Miho and even though Miho had told him that he could interrupt her anytime, the wolf was still very respectful of her and waited for Miho to turn towards him before he spoke. I let Miho and the wolf talk like I went exploring the temple behind Miho...
About this render :
In my last render I had mentioned I was having problems with distortions in the hair bottom edge when I turned Miho's head, well I found a solution to it. Actually seems like it has nothing to do with it being a G2F hair being applied to G3F. I was trying some G3F hair and had the same problem. Main issue is that in the hair figure there are neck and shoulder bones that help to keep long hair in place. For a short hair like the one I am using, that effects only the bottom edges of the hair hence as you twist the head, the bottom of the hair stays locked in place and the rest moves creating distortions. So to get rid of the issue, I deleted all the bones from neck down in the hair figure. That solved the problem for me. In this render you can see Miho's hair bottom edges look distortion free, the whole hair turned with Miho's turn of the head. One thing thought, if you deleted the bones from neck down, you will not be able to save the hair was a wearable. The bones will definitely work for shoulder and longer length hair and also for short hair that is above the neck again. But like the one I am using on MIho if it falls in between, then you may want to try deleting away the bones from neck down and see if that helps.
I had been playing with the hair colors for Miho's hair and in this one I decided to use pink. Still looks nice I think :). I changed Miho's pose a bit from the original. Looks lot more natural I think and I like the way she looks straight at you. I had a though time figuring out how to pose the wolf in this scene. I had tried it sleeping under the Jeep, behind her, etc but nothing was looking good. Finally settled on the one you see. As usual I created the scene to look like a bright and sunny day.
Update 2017-05-17 :
As mentioned before I have removed the older original render. I am trying to redo all the renders to bring consistency to my gallery with the current and final version of Miho
