Description

I don't make many paints these days... A lack of motivation probably. I have make one of my favourite themes the fashion. I hope that this painting will please you. Paints on support 60 x 80 cm. Thank you for the visit and comments. Many thanks also for previous comments, ratings and favs.

Je ne fais pas beaucoup de peintures ces temps-ci... Un manque de motivation probablement. J'ai repris un de mes thèmes favoris la mode. J’espère que cette peinture vous plaira. Glorious, Yves. You've been working with textures more and more. Your grays, here, are wonderful; they 'frame' your model like fleece. And they dissolve into your all-encompassing white like they're made of 'thought' as much as of paint. Beautiful posture, as always. And the woman's hat covers one eye---a panache so typical of your work. You use black very expressively here---even in the squiggles on her hat. And your usual spare reds and blues are used beautifully too. The sparkle of her earring is beautiful, as well.

You cut-off her body at her calves---a perfect "end" to your portrait. She is pure motion, itself, so she doesn't need more to be complete. And, as always, you place her against all that white, with real panache. You always use your space so well---she's on the left of the image, while the white dominates the right. A beautiful, classy and elegant portrait, with all your wonderful finesse. Beautiful work, as always.
