Norway, Aurland This is the carving at the door. Some of you asked for a closeup but it is not the best capture because it was rainy and to dark. But I hope it is ok ;o) Thanks a lot for all appreciated comments and visits and I wish you a relaxed weekend! ;o)))

That's amazing! So intricately detailed! I think I would go out of my mind doing something like that. Has to be a labor of love. And that is some door lock! Glad I don't have to carry that key on my key chain. LOL.

Thanks for posting. Shows the traditional Norse intricate wood carving style that long predates the Viking era. As for the lock, those types are very common. I have one in my apartment door. Very secure and nearly impossible to break through, so the church is well secured from unwanted entry. Keep up the good work. The rain and low light in fact makes it easier to see the details. :-)
