Description

Hi There =) ! Thank you for the wonderful wonderful comments and favs and likes on my renders.

Story :

Miho (and I) had been invited back to a village town which she had helped out a lot through her charities. This was a old place. It even had old grand brick and mortar houses from an almost forgotten era. She had set up schools which first taught the local language and then other languages and subjects to everyone from the youngest to the oldest person there. She also help setup proper sanitation, drinking water and irrigation facilities. She also had setup a water treatment plant that helped to recycle water. Luckily the local government was able to provide electricity though Miho had helped setup additional solar power to supplement it. This had made their life a lot better and they loved her for that. And because of all she did for them, they wanted to do something for her and well Miho being a very humble person didn't want them to, she said she had the resources and she was just doing a small part. But they insisted she ask for something even if something minor so finally after relenting she asked if she could have the completely run down vintage pickup truck that she had seen collecting dust on a roadside in front of someone's house. They were surprised by this and said it was junk and had no value and asked her to ask for something else but Miho told them that she loved vintage cars and that pickup truck would make her happy. So they happily presented her that run down pickup truck. As you know Miho loved restoring old vintage cars. So she gathered around boys and girls and men and women who ere interested to learn how to restore a vintage car and set about doing exactly that for the next two days. She got her company to air drop the required supplies and equipment. When we were finished, the folks could not believe how shiny and beautiful the pickup looked and when we drove it out, the kids on the street came running after it. Everyone's eyes was on it and Miho. As we drove around, we saw a teenage girl trying to carry hay and we stopped to help her. The girl could not stop smiling at being offered help. Miho and the girl started to load the hay in the back of the pickup when as usual I interrupted her and said I wanted to take a couple of snaps of her and the girl. But the girl turned out to be too shy and stayed back watching Miho while Miho happily posed for the photos. She was looking so beautiful in that dress and matching shoes. That had been gift from one of the families in the village, the lady of the house was a seamstress and she had presented Miho with that dress. Miho had gotten to know that family quite well over her past visits when the things were still being built. After I finished talking the photos, I also joined in to quickly load the hay onto the pickup. We then set out following the girls direction to when she wanted us to drop her and the hay. Miho talked to the girl in her native language and they both were giggling a lot. Well, there was not much of a age difference between them and I let them chit chat while I drove. Finally after we dropped the girl and the hay off, we headed back to our guest room to pack up. It was time to get back to the busy life. We meet up with the leaders for a farewell dinner and after saying our goodbye and them heaping their blessings on Miho, we took off in that vintage pickup to a local airport where Miho's plane was waiting to transport us back to one of her bases. It was back to work for both of us......

About this render :

This render started with just me trying to pose Miho with this vintage pickup. After playing around with the camera angles and her poses for some time I decided to open the pickup door and pose Miho lightly leaning on it. This was the only way for me to get that pose and also get the whole pickup into the scene. So looking at that I thought what am I going to do for the background. Started to go through the props I had and choose the one you see. That nicely covered up the background. Then thought what would be the story be behind Miho being parked there in the pickup. The more I looked at the pickup the more it screamed put hay in my back... so that is what I did. As I added the hay, the story came to mind. So I added the girl at the back and the couple on the other side to fill up that side of the image and make the scene look more natural. After adding the ground plane and adding a nice displacement based texture on it, it was time to take care of the foreground in the reflections.... I had to put something behind the camera that would reflect on the pickup's chrome bumper that should suggest some sort of landscape in front of it. Too any times I have seen renders (including my older ones) with reflection of the sky and the ground being cutoff abruptly which looks odd as though the earth has fallen off. So in this render I placed some grass props and a hill prop behind the camera that you see reflected on the chrome giving the reflection a natural look. Also this time I got a little better at adding dirt to the tires within Octane. This time the tire walls are clear but the tire shows dirt. I also pushed the ground in a bit to create tire tracks on the ground but was not very successful. I need to make the ground plane geometry far more dense to be able to do that properly. Will do it next time. For now I think it still looks ok. As usual all textures have either been changed or modified.
Hope you all like the render ! Rendered in Daz Studio using the Octane Plugin. No post work done. My previous render - "The girl in orange..." 60b285d501abb119d7a8869b7ec93844_thumbna Click the thumbnail to view it. Enjoy =) ! Rajib

"time to get back to the busy life.." It seems Miho is always busy! Busy doing good - we need a few million more Mihos in this world.. It would certainly be a more beautiful place! She looks as awesome as ever, and wow, what a job on that old pickup truck! Two beauties together!

Fantastic work as always!
