A marvelous image of pre-war Paris (or maybe during the war), with a terrific use of black and white, and lots of wonderful details. The dancers have 20's and 30s outfits, with the cloches and long gowns. You have what looks like a Gypsy violinist, a very stately man reading a newspaper, a wonderful "flapper" next to a long beautiful vintage car---very finely placed and rendered. The woman's dress flares out in the same direction as the car's hood---fine composition.
We see "Olympia"---Josephine Baker performed at the Olympia, but it was a huge hall, not an intimate cafe. And that's fine---this Olympia is perfect for the street it's on. You have fine dappled night light, and those beautiful, typical Paris buildings. A beautiful image, Ute, and so well done. Your black and white is perfect, and you got a ton of varied, dappled light. (I love that car, and the woman standing to its side. This is beautifully done.)
Ute, I'm at over an hour, and I'm supposed to be resting now (doctor's orders); so I must stop. But I commented on 9 images, I think, so I at least got a nice representative. I've seen all your work, however, and I'm aware that this is just a "sampling" of what you've done. I hope your eye procedure is totally successful, and I hope you regain your health soon after. And congratulations again on your newborn (Oscar). Many wonderful wishes to you and your loved ones! Your work is, as always, a total delight.
