Description

Another frog image... This time with the more common coloring of the European Common Frog. The insect that looks like a wasp is actually a moth... The Festivum Wasp-moth has a wingspan of 30 mm (1.2 inches). It is found in the Americas (Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, southern Florida and southern Texas). This moth mimics the coloring and shape of a wasp, as predators are less likely to feed on something that might sting them. Rendered in Firefly image using quite a few of my Nature's Wonders models; NW Frogs, NW Giant Moths (Festvum Wasp-moth from V3), NW Water Lily Garden and NW Big Cypress Habitat.

I've been looking forward to your releasing this set since your last post here - then I found your list of planned frogs and got even more excited! I'm particularly interested now as I've been thinking of using animal suit signs for my playing card project and a suit of frogs would be fun.

I also have fond memories of trying to catch frogs when I was a child and found them utterly magical.

thanks... your card project is pretty cool and looks ambitious. I did the 22 cards in Major Arcana-- it's a lot of work. Frogs are a favorite of mine (next to birds, of course lol)

Great render and really neat frog. There is a serious shortage of reptile and amphibian models out there, especially frogs.

Thx and yes, I agree... the frog I had been using was the Zygote frog made in 1998... definitely time for an update :)
