I saw quite a few of these on my short hike above Jacksonville yesterday. The flowers hadn't opened yet, so I'm not sure, but I think these might be trillium. But I could be totally off base... Please zoom.

White is such a challenge. Wonder if that is in the woods we walked through above Jacksonville with you and Arlene.

You're quite right! (Isn't that nice?) I don't know how protected they are there, but in Washington you can't touch them. No moving, no digging, no transplanting. They're apparently quite fragile in that way. Beautiful plant!
