Description

This is a model of the battleship 'USS Arizona BB-39' that was on display during the Centennial celebration of Litchfield Park, AZ. The battleship 'USS Arizona BB-39' was sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese on 7 December 1941. This model is privately owned and is on display at various functions. It was at the Wesley Bolin Plaza in front of the Arizona State Capitol during the dedication of one of the battleship 'Missouri's' 16-inch gun barrels. It was on display at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii during the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack on 7 December 2016. Nice photo of it. That is really an eye catcher! And owned by a lady. I wonder who made it? A LOT of work has gone into this. It's one thing to haul it on a trailer to different functions, but flown to Hawaii - that is fantastic! That there are still people who would do such a thing restores faith in humanity!
