A fantastic and gorgeous illustration of a voyage that echoes that of the reference to the song by the Pink Floyd in a most sensitive and dream-like way. A whole generation knew what dreaming or daydreaming meant, back then !

I don't remember the song too well, so I'll comment on the visual alone (unfortunately). But i love your visualization of this: The ships they're traveling in are slightly 'heart shaped' (your theme), and they feel like something from a 19th C novel about space travel. Love your vision here. And the deep reds, and the sizzling boiling sun. And you got great colors in the people's outfits, to contrast all that deep yellow and red. I don't know where you get your ideas from, but those ships are great.
