Description
Just back from a short weekend trip to the Portland area to visit our son & his family & celebrate my wife's 70th birthday with them. This was taken from a moving car as we we were driving up I-5. We had a wet winter (which is continuing), so the hills are even more green & lush this year than usual. The drive from southern Oregon (where we live) to northern Oregon along I-5 is much more scenic & enjoyable than the stretch of I-5 we used to drive from northern California (where we used to live) to southern California - which is mostly flat, brown & dusty...

OK.... When I saw this photo, I had to stop and put on Beethoven's "Pastorale" - it's that beautiful! And from a moving car, no less... Wow!

Beautiful! Given a choice, I would skip the drive through California on I-5 (or 99) at almost any cost. We did come up through there on our trip back to Washington last year because there was too much snow in the mountains farther north, but taking the northern route would have been risking life and limb, and that's where I draw the line! Oregon is beautiful in the spring. We generally take 101 and enjoy the wild rhododendrons.

Love the contrast between the highly saturated green hill and the white, bright sky. The livestock could care less...just give me some more to eat. Well done from a moving car!

So beautiful, and a lot like the county of Dorset where I live.
