I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Sorry for not commenting so much of late Rod but been rather busy of late. I do love your images. You know I will always comment elsewhere though. There's a few things I'm tired of too, but....... ya know!
This is a lovely image of G4 and Ar.
RodS
Thanks, Ray! I'll be posting more at "elsewhere" very soon!

I think this whole place is getting slow on posts, views and comments. I still get a good amount but have noticed mine and others getting less. Really enjoy the image, Rod. Nice atmo with these gals. Going to read that link now.
Don't ever think your art and mostly T.N.A. series is lacking. It has gotten highly professional my friend and wishing could follow in your footsteps.
I say it's a combo of reasons, I'm sure some give up cause no one has time to comment on works and lack of interest in the arts these days. Some say this is just a popularity place to post, I can see reason in that a bit. Hope u don't give up my friend, things will change and folks will be back. I do appreciate what I receive highly.
RodS
Nope - not going anywhere, Steve!

I don't get here much anymore Rod, but I love this piece! The sunset is spectacular!
RodS
That's part Poser (the sun is a Poser primitive with Ambient turned waaaaaay up LOL) and the clouds are a BG photo I took a couple years ago - with some Photoshop fiddling.. Hope you & Mike are doing well!
calico_jester
Renderosity "daily" contributors must feel this absence, to which you are referring, as I see many finding other means of expression. In my case, ignorance of process is an excuse, but I try to comment whenever time permits. With other pressing obligations in our lives, frustration becomes more a part of the challenge..... imho
Napalmarsenal
Beautiful sunset!!
Pulls out the$1,000 chilled bottle of Don. I still can't believe they sent you a case of this stuff after the last mission!
RodS
Yeah, someone REALLY wanted Kim Flung Dung to go away......

Hi ya Rod I don't normally comment on your work on here as I feel that now I am not on rendo any longer its not my place to. I do still view all your posts as I have you and a couple of others I watch on here as I have been following stories etc and I love the TNA Girls.
I like on DA the fact you can comment and reply continuously not just comment once that's it, so if someone asks you something you can reply back and forth for as long as you want. As far as comments on images in DA its much the same as here you get a lot of watchers and or favours but few comments..Also like here if you comment on someones art they may never ever comment on your stuff regardless on how many comments you give on their images, though most do have the courtesy thank you for the comments. I also like how you can comment on another comment someone has made on another artists work..
What I say is keep up the great work your work definitely doesn't suck :-)
I do miss a number of artist on here but the constant changing of the site just got me in the end had to trouble finding stuff and relearning how to get around and where everything was, oldies (mainly me) don't cope with all the changes like the young ones.. :-( . It's a bit like going from Windows 7 to 10 just so different I have had to get a new computer with a later Nvidia to render in Iray and only come with Win 10 so that's about all I use it for I will keep using my Win 7 till it dies. Sorry about the long comment Rod but keep up the super work!
RodS
Hey, Barry! I understand, mate - the changes drive me nuts, too! Still miss ya. I'd post more at DA if I could figure out how the blasted site works.... LOL Maybe after I retire!
makennedy
I've noticed the downturn as well, and a few new artist popping up around here also...Sweet setting for the girls!
Daddywolf
Rods I think you dos protest too much You get more comments in a day than I get in a month so I should be the one complaining if I did I would probably get the most comments I ever got maybe 10! I do my pictures for my enjoyment and to share with others some times I feel like tracking some of them down and saying look what I did!
RodS
Not protesting, DW - at least that wasn't my intention. Merely making a few observations. I don't understand why you don't get more comments - you do some really great work with DS and Facegen.
MagikUnicorn
Gorgeous :)
Richardphotos
after 14 years here comments/posting in the galleries have been up and down. I just try to ride the tide and stay with the flow. many really fine artists does not have the time or for one reason or another chooses not to comment.
I have found this community is about sharing and expressing one's views on art/friendships . some refuse to take part, but still post pictures
I really like this scene f yours. the ladies are real knockouts
GrandmaT
Beautiful image! At the moment, RL is taking a major chunk of my time. I catch up when possible. I may even get around to posting again.

Gorgeous wallpaper,RodS-san!

Beautiful image, Rod! (I think there is a downturn every spring... When yardwork and Spring fever combine to pull folks from the PC.... On the other hand UTE left us for a Grandbaby! We can't compete with that!!)
RodS
Jilted for a grandbaby..... Sheesh!
Faemike55
I somehow missed this upload from you - I just read your commentary. You'll get a fuller reply on that shortly. I look at this scene and I am of two minds: this can be a sunset, where you look at what you've done for the day- have you made someone happy? Or you can look at this as a sunrise and ask yourself, 'what can I do to make even a single person happy?'
I'm seeing the same 'response' as you and I've noticed it with other artists that I'm following that the responses they receive have dropped. I see it site-wide. Maybe Real life is getting in the way of Rendo-life. I dunno!
Create your art for yourself, Rod! If people comment on it, fine! If they don't, that is their loss.
Personally, I've been enjoying all the art you've put up and I'm proud to call you my brother!
Diemamker
I hear you! I too have been feeling the same, about a year and haft or so I been noticing that these things been happening here. remember when I almost left... these same things been happening then... it's to the point that this last story I'm working on ( the NK story ) may be the last one I do... it seems this site members (save a few) aren't interested in stories.. just pin-ups and such. maybe I'll give up the stories for one offs....
It's good to know that I'm not the only one who notices these things... have a good one, and I look forwards to the next page of the TNA adventure!!
Freethinker56
Seem to be a lot not around at the moment Rod. You did one heck of a job on this.LUV the view take care cheers

Nice one Rod!!

If a sun sets, then it must rise again.
I'm hoping the low visits are just temporary, Rod. As Richardphotos suggested, this is just ebb and flow.
(Hoping it's the same at my current job, but retail is getting smacked around like Kim Poop Dip[CENSORED] at the hands of Girl Power.)

Oooooooooo, BABY!!!

I don't think this site ever came close to recovering after the "Revolution" roll out. In the old days, I regularly got 50 comments on most of my images. Now if I get ten, it means everybody showed up! Crazy.
RodS
I have to wonder if the 'Powers That Be' here have even the slightest inkling of what a kick in the groin they inflicted on this site with that.........uh......... (searching for family-friendly terminology) digital MOAB they dropped on us.... Or if they even care.
vitachick
UPdating site may have a lot to do with it. I noticed I was hving problems signing in.Too may ads for sure.
Another great render...I do my best to comment, but lost interest with rendering new images..:(. It never lasted this long..
ZigZag321
Beautiful work with your girls, Rod!
I have a thought too ...... I remember a few years ago, a visitor would have to sign in to view individual gallery images. Now they don't have to sign in to view. Only to comment. I think less are likely to sign in to comment if they can just view without signing in. Makes sense to me. That and also that even overall upload participation is down from what I see. Maybe people are choosing to feature their works on their own social media pages more and more instead. I don't know.
Any amount of lesser comments is certainly no reflection on your excellent works, my friend.
bmac62
Observation, complaint, protest? Everybody's comments are valid. I think back over my almost nine years on the site. Change is the only constant. As you know, I take off big slices of time from Rendo but it is always great to find hard core old friends here and you and the girls are among the best ole friends here. Thanks for your time, talent and all around great personhood! :-))) Hugs to Jo too for allowing you all that basement time.
RodS
Yep - that's me.... Hard core... heh heh heh....
Uh-oh.... The Girls just gave me one of 'those' looks. Why is G4 rolling her eyes like that?
TwiztidKidd
Major drop in comments... pretty soon we're going to have to start paying for them, but hey... you can always comment like a hundred or two hundred times on your own picture.
RodS
Hmmmm...... Never thought of that... I'm sure no one would notice! LOL

(well, you already know how I feel about your original point here, so I'll just comment on the art now, since it might have gotten lost in your very well-stated thoughts about commenting; so, on the art:) Love how the girls fit into this---you've been working with your ladies for so long, and so consummately, you know just where to place them. (And maybe all your years of terrific photography plays into that too.) I love how they're in black, against that deep reddish sunrise/sunset. And how G4 (yes? I hope I have her name right by now!) turns to look at us---great job, with her hair covering her face in that suggestive manner. They both frame the sun, and they pull us right into that beautiful scene back there. Love the lit-up red leaves too...And the wall and arch are deep dark and mysterious, as if they're leaving an old place and walking into the new. (Fitting for your message.) I never felt you were complaining unfairly in your letter, as you suggested above: not even a little. It was a fully valid statement, and if you didn't care so much about this place, you wouldn't bother to say it. And yes, there are a number of people here who don't get their due; but I didn't get the sense you were taking anything away from them, rather sharing a common point; and I hope your other neglected fans got strength from what you wrote: I sure did. I was very grateful for what you said. Beyond that, this is a terrific visual, and I'll be back for the others soon. (I saved the next TNA chapter for then, so I can give it proper time.) (I saw it and read it, mind you, but you know my comments...ya gotta take a boxed lunch and cancel your appointments...'biggggggg mouth', as Jackie Gleason used to say...)
RodS
Boxed lunch?? Naw, I'm ordering pizza this time..... Yep - you've got it right on the names, buddy! The Girls give you a cyber-high-five!
bugsnouveau
Ya got me! I was gone three weeks and now catching up. Is good to hear I wasn't the only one...safety in numbers, lol...Neat scene, Rod
WyckedPixy
This is excellent, Rod. I love the sunset and the girls look so peaceful! Beautiful scene! I've been one of the missing for the past few weeks. Life's gotten a bit messy and I haven't had much time to do anything fun, like visiting galleries that I really enjoy. I hope you have a great weekend!
rajib
Lovely work Rod and I like the way she is looking back. Wonderful sunset scene. You are right about the commenting. Seems to have gone down but more importantly the views seems to have gone down even more. I can't believe a site which claims it has 700,000+ members, the most views the top artist gets is anything from 200 to 400 views and so many great work gets less than 50. Not sure if the number Renderosity claims is true or not. In the olden days with a lot less members there were a lot more views and to me with the software improving and allowing us to make better artwork and a lot more people exploring 3D worlds now a days should ideally generate a lot more view for everyone.... But oddly it is now on a reverse trend.... Maybe now a days people are more inward looking.... so they don't want to see other's work but want others to see theirs.... In any case when I see exceptional work with very few views I do encourage the artist to comment on other artist's work so that the other artist get to know them and look at their artwork....
wparrott1
Beautiful sunset and girls. Love this image and the vibrant colors. Great art!!!! Fav
