My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

What a wonderful photo. You composition and style reminds me of one of our favorite artists that unfortunately is no longer here,...GES.
And what a fabulous museum too...wow! Art history comes alive here.

Yes, they so seem to be part of a living composition. I especially like the way that arrow is pointing to the woman...

Yes to Bill, it reminds me of Ges too. Marvellous, and especially as you did this without the manipulations that our lost friend used to do.

So, when Bill is photographing spiral staircases at the Patent Office you are photographing straight ones at the National Gallery of Art. Talk of complementing each other! This is interesting. They all seem to be going down. Escalators? Or just a fluke? Anyhow, they make a nice part of the art! Keep up the good work! :-)

Superb composition. I like how the crowd cooperated with you so well. Dark, dark, dark, RED, dark, dark dark. A really fine piece of work.

That's pretty cool. The angles and the mobile in the pic. Great capture.

I love it! The zig-zag stream of people makes me think of M. C. Escher for some reason... What a wonderful observation, and photo, Tara!

I'm way behind in comments, Tara, and I'll do this in 2 sittings (alternating with Bill's gallery too). That way you won't have to plow through a big mass of my comments all at once. I don't even know if you can read comments right now...but my comments will be there when you can, in a couple of weeks...
I'm sure I said something about this when you posted it...it's a wonderful abstract of zig zags and curves, with the black of the people---amazing how many people are wearing dark colors!---as contrast to the light gray walls. Wonderful contrast in color and shape. And the Calder is perfect as balance, in the upper right. You even coordinated the Calder with that line abstract on the wall behind it...Really fine work, formally, line-wise, and shape wise, with the blacks of the viewers making a fine contrast to the otherwise light-hued interior.
