Description

Space port again only rendered in 3Delight No changes were made in lighting or anything else the difference totally blew my mind In both images, I had a spotlight set way out from the scene Only postwork was to resize the image - Since I have a fairly powerful computer with a great graphics card, I render at super large sizes so I can see any mistakes and then resize in my photo editing program

It is nice you have some cool computer gadgets to help you decide your final edition.

Congratulations sounds like you have a Mac Daddy puter ! !

This look really great, Mike! Even in 3Delight, it looks awesome - now I need to check out the Iray version....

Yeah, I always render HUGE - probably why that HD is about to die..... I wore it out! LOL

That is a big difference between these two, especially with the same lighting. The really big difference I remember noticing was GI (global illumination) takes far less time to render than in 3Delight. All of the scenes I'm doing now would take days to render, instead of an hour or two.

To tell the truth one has to adjust the light for the different rendering engine. And - IRay render - IRay materials, 3Delight render - 3Delight materials. And then compare. But absolutely no doubt IRay is better :-).

Looked the both over, and I have to say the IRay one looks a lot better, and probably didn't have to mess with it much... this one would need a lot of changing around to make it look better...
