Most excellent render!
Staneee
What software did you use to make this face leaf model?
desdemona
Realism with the touch of fantasy - Can I say just WOOOOOOWWWWW? Love it! :::DES:::
pureflesh
Staneee, aapasuo most probably meshsmoothed the leaf and applied a displace map on it.And I believe it was modeled in max.
aapasuo
To Staneee: The leaf was made from plain box. It has a displacement map and couple of noise modifiers. The leaf texture is a scan of a real leaf I found on my way to work.

Not just impressive as a 3d work, but I also find it to be a very aesthetically pleasing work of art! :)

Looks super real, though I'm confused...are those water drops or glass lenses?
aapasuo
CyborG: Ah... Real critique. It's kind of rare here at Renderosity because everyone is trying not to offend anyone. I myself would like to receive much more constructive critizism about my images. Those bubbles really look little like glass. They are intended as water drops though... Maybe more sharper specular highlights? Anyone?
Ne_Mesis
just somthing in the water missing that water shine somthing .... its a brilliant pic

touchable. gorgeous!

i think you are right, sharper higlights will look better. i think the wood looks great, but its a bit small scaled, compared with the leaf. i dont think you will see such waterdrops, because the surface tension (is this the word?) would make them rounder, more like a hemisphere. and the part who the waterdrops touches the wood is too rounded. but he picture, looks great, good use of textures

It rocks...ehm could you repeat the resolution? Wow.
Scott_Childress1
I think the water drops look like contac lenes. Maybe you should give them a softer shadow on the edges to take the hardness off. But we all know how hard it is to make realistic water drops. I love the leaf...
