Story :
The story continues from my previous render....
It was exactly 30 minutes when Miho walked over to the hyper plane. I was already in the cockpit getting things ready and the the creature was also suited up for battle and ready to go. He was holding an non-lethal weapon, the only kind Miho would allow. The wolf also was ready. They both waited for Miho to board the hyper plane. Miho stopped near the hyper plane and turned around. She took one last look at the beauty and tranquility of this place and with a deep breath asked no one in particular when in this planet such beauty existed, why did unthinkable horror exists too... With that somber thought she turned around and with the creature and the wolf boarded the plane and said to all of us "Let's go and get it done".... It will be at least some time before she was back on this beautiful tiny piece of paradise....
We had found a likely place for the lab and I had already fed in the coordinates of that place to the computers... Initial satellite photos had shown some promise and then we had done a deep scanning of the area via satellite and found the facility to be buried deep in the ground. We already had a 3D schematic of the place from the deep scanning so we knew where to go once we had reached it. They had taken great pains to hide their facilities and probably could fool the latest satellite imaging tech any government had... But Miho's tech was decades if not centuries ahead of anyone else so we were able to see through invisibility shield they had put up. It was going to be a short 10 minutes 25 mach hyper sonic flight... I told Miho that I had reached out to others about the symbol the creature had described seeing at the lab and though no one knew anything about it Rod's awesome T.N.A. Girls had offered their help if we need it. Miho was happy to hear that. She knew those girls were busy on their own secret mission to take care of another evil problem. She said she hoped I had thanked them. To which I replied, of course. In any case, Miho actually could handle this whole thing on her own and didn't need me or the creature or the wolf there... But she deeply appreciated us being there.... As we headed there, Miho changed into her combat clothing and then we discussed the attack strategy. We knew that facility was guarded with advanced lethal weaponary. Obviously these people did not believe in non lethal weapons like Miho did. Mood was somber inside the hyper plane as each of us thought about the extreme threat we all were about to face in few short minutes...
About this render :
Diemamker had made a comment on my last render which is so true and I quote "it seem more like if the girls don't like the scene I'm making, it just won't happen.". I absolutely believe that. There are scenes I think are awesome but if Miho is not happy being in it, no amount of changing camera angle to get a better POV or trying to put an happy expression on her face works.... She will simply refuse to smile and rendering the scene becomes pointless. I have many such scene files on my hard disk. I have given up on them because Miho just doesn't like them.... We think as creator of artwork we control our characters but I think they control us and we well let them..... like we let our better half's control us ;)...
I wanted to do render of them leaving the peaceful island so this is the scene I came up with... with Miho taking a last look at the beauty of this place to provide her the peace she needed to deal with the horror she was about to encounter....
On the technical side of things, Octane added a couple of new features recently and finally the Daz Plugin got updated to include them and I am using newly added "Add Texture" and "Subtract Texture" nodes (Waited very long for these features) in the Octane materials editor to re-texturize the spacecraft and also to add sand to Miho's feet. Basically there is no Photoshop post work done to add the sand on Miho's feet. All done with the Octane materials editor by added a mask I had created for her feet where the sand should appear and using a noise node to create the sand effect. I did the same steps on the toenail surface too to cover them with sands otherwise the nail polish on her toenails were looking too clean. Hope the effect came out right. I am using very wide angles and spherical distortion to fit the full spacecraft into the scene but it does distort things a bit hence the elongated view of the spacecraft and the creature and the wolf appearing so tiny compared to Miho even though the distance between Miho and them was not much.
As usual all the surfaces are modified with custom materials. The sand is a displacement based surface. The water is a specular material. Only the palm trees were left alone as they looked okay. The cyan / green color you see on the spacecrafts wing tip is actually reflection of the water. I like how the whole scene reflects on the body of the space craft.

Love her expression and the atmospheric composition. The sand is fantastic, I wish I could do it (but I can't :-)). Superb!
