Here is Constance, she was made almost 2 years ago, but I never really used her before in my pictures (or just as background char), cause the texture she was made from was not very nice, although giving her that very special face I like. I don't want to bash that texture by giving it's name, but come on... Oo
A few months ago, I tried to stack two textures together, using one basically as a mask, to "clean" the other one. She was the first character I tried this on, and after a few hiss and miss, what you see is the result :) . The mask texture had to be not only a high quality one but - even more important - homogeneous for all body parts (no strange color changes between body and legs, etc), something that seems to be a rare quality, for some reasons. When doing, you can try different opacity settings for the mask (generally used between 25-40% in my tests), and you can keep the facial features of the original texture, by softly hiding brows, lips, and eyes area from the mask one. Once you've found a mask texture that can match well with the original one, it gives a LOT of possibilities for tweaking your own characters textures ;) .
So, that small story was just to explain that now, she can do renders like that without giving the viewer the feeling that two different textures were actually used for upper body and lower body, which was one of the main problems of the original one :) .

Constance is looking great she has a wonderfull complexion now, and no doubt a international jetsetter layed on her yacht. Very nice render we need to see more of her now, like the use of DOF, Im back into 3d after a 7 year break and must say DAZ studio has got much better, what would be the timescale be on a render like this ???,

I have several characters(bought for morphs) with less than desirable quality skin, or it is my fault on lighting. I have gave up several times and used SSS materials that I find pleasing
she is very sexy and you should give her another chance at success

She is a beauty ! I agree with you. Some of the textures that come with characters are utter crap ! Your experimentation resulted in a great looking texture. It took me many months to get Miho's skin to look good. And you are right about the weird color differences between the torso and legs that you get in most textures. Probably the models are super tanned. So hard to get even toned textures. Splendid and cute render :) !
