Description

Just a little something I've been working on... trying to create an image that could be mistaken for an old WW2 era photo... I'll be posting more at later dates.. hope you like, and have a good one every one!

Was hoping that wasn't an anti-aircraft tank in NK aiming for Kasha.

Pretty good rendition. You captured the film graininess.

Quite a convincing-looking render as a matter of fact. I might have been fooled. (Though the horizontal stripes on the tank's surface seem odd to me...) :)

Keep up the good work! (Still awaiting the next suspenseful episode of the Dan & Co epic saga...)

Great work - very close to what you'd see as a photo from that era

Nice job. Nice to see Zimmerit anti-magnetic paste on the tank. <is this a 3D or a texture map effect? Would like to see a bit dirt on the wheels and track. Otherwise it's like an old, grainy photo. You've done well! Keep up the good work! :-)

outstanding work. I would really like to have the sheen from a glossy photo to use on a computer. so many advancements but not glossy

I like your use of light and shadow. They are very realistic. You also did a fine job on composition -- there's enough background to set the scene, but not to detract from the central subjects of the tank and soldier. Since you said you were trying for photographic realism, I would make one suggestion: better groundwork. The ground is too smooth and even, and the grass is too perfect. I would also consider trying a little Depth of Field blur on the tree. The leaves are just a tad too uniform and crisp. you nailed it with the sky, though! Very nice work all around (and even if I don't always comment, I do really like your WWII stuff). Keep 'em flying!

Although I really do not like what is related to the second world war, I find this picture nevertheless very successful ... Great done, Dan.
