Description
This is a portion of the front of the Jacksonville Inn in Jacksonville, Oregon, where we met friends for dinner last night. It was a beautiful day & we were able to enjoy our excellent meals in their outside dining area The building was built in 1863...

Artisan brickwork that we hardly ever see in modern buildings. A very satisfying composition.

I love this sort of shot. Walls have far more going for them than people realize!

good comment from tara, who does walls and windows beautifully. When you turn to facades and their 'speech', you always excel. This is minimal though still crowded, it has real pattern-presence (that's not as pretentious as it sounds, lol, I just couldn't find another phrase), and the shadow of the window and around the lamps, etc, make strong contrast to this sun-bleached shot. Cropped to make it abstract as well as concrete. Really fine work, Claude.
