Description

https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/auria-for-v4/95077/ Do you ever have this problem? I have it sooo often. I have spent well over an hour trying to get her looking like she is in the ad. But I can't capture her look! I have never figured it out, but it is a disappointment.

Yep, I know that very well.Mostly, it has to do with the accessories used in the Ad (Hair, cloth, jewelry...). Unfortunately most of the vendors do not state what they used for the promos. All too often the "Promo credits" Tab remains empty and the only way to get some hints is to contact the vendors and ask them. Bad luck, if they can't remember, what they took for the promos... Another very important part is the lighting, which often decides between success and fail. Same importance is given to the Render engine used for the Promos (sorry, but with Poser 5, you can't come even close to a Lux, Octane or IRAY-Render).

I don't think it's the same model at all. FurNose has a good point. Sometimes i'll buy a model based on the promo add. Unfortunately a couple of things happen. The vendor doesn't often list the items used, or for some reason Rendo removes that information. OR the items are no longer listed, etc.

I think it is mostly hair style and part lighting. It is why good hair stylists get paid a lot. You are using an 'wicked old lady' hair style which is how she looks. I would use Constanza hair by SWAM. It makes almost any face look youthful and cute. A must have hair for V4 users. Any of the new hair sets by Biscuits would suit her quite well, too. Also side lighting.

Been There. Done that. I've tried several times to create a Poser version of my husband and have been defeated every time. Being me, I finally gave up. It is an interesting face so I wouldn't call it a total bust. I'd say you did a great job.

According to the readme, it looks like V4 Morphs ++ is required. I'm thinking that this character might use those in addition to the character morph, which might be why your facial features look different than those in the product you linked to? For example, compare your nose shape to the character's, you'll see they are very different. Do you have V4 Morphs++ installed?

Definitely have that problem too - this does seem to be an extreme case!.

A lot has to do with lighting I think. In the vendor's renders because of the lighting you may not have seen the cheek depressions. But as yours had deep shadows, it is much more apparent and looks different. I would suggest you light try the same pose as the vendor and a similar lighting to see if it looks somewhat similar. If it still does not, when there might be morphs that it needs that are missing from your content library.

Thanks all! I think this was my bad. In this case, I didn't install all the textures. But I have to say that there were other characters that just didn't come out like the promos.Auria 5-10=17 Corrected.jpg

I've had this problem with most of my purchases. Which is why I use very few characters I've purchased. Render engine, Poser or DAZ and lighing do a LOT. Good luck with this! :-)

some expressions can totally change the way a character appears and as well lighting as mentioned above. her hair is darker in your render which obscures her face

you got skin bumps really well on this version. very good improvement "FoRender" includes expressions with their characters because they know that poser made expressions removes the original face morph realism

You just touched the subject I have never answered myself from the very beginning of doing the 3D. The models simply do not look as they do on promos. It was a mystery for me - and practically every girl I have has been remorfed. I have an idea to make an image one day: "BEFORE - AFTER" :-). The best girls are done by Silver - they look as they should :-).
