Description

This is a photo taken by the surgeon during my hernia operation. I now have a new mesh inside me. Sooooo... I'm not sure if this is a Genesis, G2, or G3 mesh, or a Millennium mesh... But it seems life does imitate art - even 3D/CG art. I do hope this is a male mesh.... I'm gonna be a little concerned if I start growing boobs. Apparently they didn't include dials or sliders as part of my post-op recovery package! LOL For those of you who I've not grossed out, the dark area near the top and behind the mesh is the actual hernia area, They use a mesh like this rather than stitching the herniated area closed. That puts too much stress on the existing tissues, and could cause a recurrence of the hernia. The dark thumbtack looking things are actually what attaches the mesh to the muscle tissue. They are almost like screws that dissolve over time as the mesh integrates with the tissue. Jeeze, If I have many more of these, I'll be able to pass the test for a medical license! LOL I'll spare you the other photos..... Someone out there might be eating a pizza or lasagna.... LOL If you REALLY want to see those, sitemail me and I'll send you a link! I'll be posting a couple more things in the next day or two, but I want to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for all the love and encouragement, dedications, sitemails, and emails. You all seriously ROCK! Nudity not checked - We're inside! Violence not checked - Cuts already made! LOL Language not checked - Minimal pain = no cussing! :-D

Ouch! Makes me feel crowded and cramped. Cool illustration, Rod. Happy you made it through the op well my friend and hope for a speedy recovery. You just grossed out Tena though, but she'll get over it. Take care my friend and thanks for sharing.

Glad it was a success !!

I think they used the M meshes in you so don't worry about the boobage, but ....... if you are happening to want to see what you might look like with boobs I'm sure the doc can hook you up with the V model meshes. ........ I just need to find that dial for a smaller .......... A$$ =)

Healing thoughts and well wishes to you and hopes of a speedy recovery!!

Oh! Cool! Does that mesh at least have a subdivision option? If yes, then you don't need to worry, because we can morph away your eventual growing boobs with simple magnets and deformers, and without visible ugly bumps in the mesh 😆

Take care

😂

Don't think this one came with subdivisions..... LOL

This is SOOO COOL! I love it! Glad you came through with minimal discomfort and your sense of humor intact. Now get lots of rest and don't lift anything or do jumping jacks or rearrange the furniture for a few days anyway. Seriously, good to know you are okay.

When I first saw it was thinking to myself..What is this????Was wondering if there was a hidden message in the mesh..Doh. Then lo and behold I read your description....

Wishing you a quick recovery.....

Are you sure that this isn't a revisit to Tholian Web - cause it sure looks like it! Cool photo and description! Glad you up to talking last night! Great to hear your and Jo's voice. Queen Zlata has instructed Kinnie to make sure you don't do anything that would undo the work the doctors have done.

For you to be able to be this active some 24 hours after surgery, it has to be the stuff that Jedis are made from. The mesh procedure is pretty nifty.

Glad it went perfect, Rod. Kasha's on her way.

Good news, Rod!! It's a quad mesh, so it's Poser approved! None of these unruly, unsupported (the last thing you need in a hernia op), untrustworthy Ngons!!!
SO glad everything went well!

"Rod? Rod is gone. All that's left is mostly machine." "True, this is."

Glad you are well and that's pretty cool you got this photo. My brother has been "meshed" too and he's been fine, but it took a few days to get around much and a couple months to get back to work. Try to enjoy some time off. I expect much more T.N.A. 😆

... reminds me of a Marlon Brando line (to Slim Pickens) "Git up, you big tub of guts" (One-Eyed Jacks (1961))

I would dearly love to see (understand) your pics, and may one day share stories of my colon cancer experience :)

Be well, my friend

Glad to see you are doing better Rod =). Specially this soon after the surgery =). Take care, rest and relax. That is needed. Well Step 1 to becoming a Terminator (I love that movie series =) ) has began ;)... No thanks on the photos ;), I have seen a few of those too. One of my friend had a knee surgery and it was hard to look at the knee cut open. Stomach churning photos. But nowadays it seems to be a new trend of the surgeons taking photos during a surgery and passing them to the patient. Miho sends her best. She was worried when she heard about the surgery.

RodS

11:17PM | Tue, 09 May 2017

I've seen photos of knee surgery - I'd much rather look at something inside - knee surgery is just brutal to look at! Ugh.

Tell Miho I'm doing fine, and give her a hug for me - once she's done taking down that nasty lab! 😁

Yup ... the Tholian Web. That's what I saw, too! :P Glad you're feeling okay, and that you're healing and doing well. I got a note from Jo, and we've been sending you warm fuzzy healing modules. :) Love ya!

Thanks Rod for the expose (should be a little mark over the e). Maybe you can get your doctor to sign up for Renderosity...LOL. Glad to hear you are on the mend. Was this a belly button hernia? I had one repaired back in 2008...the mesh continues to hold everything together nicely. My doctor was most proud of reconstructing me a belly button:)

I'm eating pizza. Summer's eating lasagna. T.Rex is eating chicken with tatters. And who else is there? Kitty's eating pork pieces off my pizza. Nobody's the least upset. I've taken a closer look and can identify a few of the structures. This kind of surgery sure has advanced well over the years. Perhaps I should consider it, too. Thanks a lot for the info! Perhaps I can post some interesting anatomical photos so you can see things more clearly! Keep up the good work. I'm glad to see you can get around a bit and do a lot of typing and 3D work! :-)

forgive me for being late, I was gone for a few days, but I saw this the minute you posted it: This is a riot, Rod! I can't believe you're doing standup comedy so quickly after your operation! And---at least from Tara's upload---you're back to work already? Are you s___ing me??? That soon? With that catcher's backstop you posted above, I figured a longer time! (Do you feel anything---I mean, I'm sure you don't, but man, that's a major link-fence there!) I love what you wrote, and the "nudity not checked," etc: Glad you got your humor back so fast! And you had lights out for a night too?

Well, Sir R, I'm thrilled that this was over so fast, that you got back on your feet so fast, and you went back to work so fast. I wish you total recovery, and may it never return; and may whatever you have left (a possible, in the future?): May it go just like this! And, as for the image, I've seen plenty of gross shots of medical procedures (remind me to post my ex-gall bladder): I was fine with this. But man, this is a freakin' backstop! I've never seen anything like it before. I wish you great health, Rod, and it had to be heartening to see all the love that you got here. (I'm coming back later just to read the newer comments---you have a fiercely loyal following here!) All the best! I love this upload. And I hope it's the last time ever!

Nope - haven't UV mapped this one...... yet. Jeeze..... I'm having enough trouble trying to re-texture the Vanguard! 😂
