You did amazing things with a simple concept (and simplicity is a good thing). In the midst of a strong vision of browns, you give us just enough green to hint that there is water somewhere off in the distance. And the lone girl's placement just to the side of the ladder (instead of being framed by it, ready to descend) gives the scene a sense of hesitancy, as though we are paused in some larger story about which we know little. She also serves the pragmatic function of providing us with a sense of scale. Solid, impressive work that really sets a scene and makes me want to see more (including the possibility of buying those sewer models!). Bravo!
