OUCH! They did that with the Penn railway station in the 1960's, against protests. Then they wanted to do it with Grand Central, and 30th St. in Philadelphia, and Union in Washington. But protests were so loud they backed off. Wonder what will be built on this property. Sigh. Beautiful facade. Also gone? Modern architects have no sense of beauty, only of money and glass and steel which don't last long. This is so sad.
