Description

Hi There =) ! Thank you for the wonderful wonderful comments and favs and likes on my renders.

Story :

The story continues from my previous render.... This is the final render of the story I started couple of renders back. I know my stories have started to get a bit long ;) and most of you do not have the time to read them. But I guess to me it is part of the creative process and I do have fun creating the stories around my renders =). But in any case hopefully this is the last of the long ones for now. As we took off, we could see the people from the underground lab running around in confusion. They had finally seen the site manager but he was not able to tell them anything and that created even more confusion for them. That was the last sight we had as we left the area still invisible to the people below. The satellite above will be recording everything in any case for later review so we did not need to stay there and hover above them to see what happened next. We headed to one of Miho's bases on a remote island which was equipped with a special gene healing machine. The priority now was to heal the creature's body and mind and figure out where he came from and reunite him with his fellow creatures. Once we landed at the base, she took the creature with her and the wolf and me headed to the operations center. We were going to monitor the live satellite feed from the underground lab area. Miho took the creature into her gene healing lab. She told the creature that he needed to stay in there for rest of the day so that his body could heal. She told him all the bruising and cuts from the torture he had endure on his body in that underground lab would completely heal and his skin will go back to what it was. While the creature's body healed, Miho was worried about his mind. He had endured so much and it was bound to leave dark marks on his mind. She had asked him if he wanted his memories wiped for the past few days like they had done to the site manager. The creature asked Miho if he agreed to that will he remember Miho and she said no. Immediately the creature said no. He said if he had to endure the emotional pains just to be able to remember her, he was willing to endure it. He did not want to forget her and what she had done for him. Miho was touched. Miho then taught the creature how to meditate and helped him focus his mind on his past and see what he could remember. Miho wanted him to think about where he was from, were there others ?, what kinds of stars he had seen in the night sky. Where in the horizon did the sun rise and set, was there any star that remained at one place. Where in the horizon was it. If he was from an island, what kind of fishes he had seen in the waters.... things that would help Miho pin point the location from where the creature came. The rest of the day had passed. The creature's body was healing and Miho, me and the wolf continued to monitor the live satellite feed. The next day came and the creature's body had completely healed. He was very excited the next morning when Miho brought him food. He said he had remembered things from his past. He remembered his companion for life, his fellow creatures. He remembered how he had gone fishing in a boat and was caught up in a storm and blown away from the island he was from. He had then encountered this strange looking huge boat and suddenly creature like Miho and me had emerged from it and captured him. Then they had beaten him for no reason and tied him up. Miho understood what he had encountered was a ship of some sort used by the corporation. Thankfully they had found the creature far away from where he actually was from otherwise they probably would have gone in to capture as many creatures they could capture alive and basically kill the rest. The creatures face turned dark and Miho could see pain in his eyes as he gave the detailed account of what all they had done to him after they had captured him. Earlier on the creature had been able to give only bits and pieces of the information and that is what Miho had used to find the underground lab and shut it down permanently. Now hearing the full account, Miho again felt white hot anger at what the corporation and the people who worked there where doing in the name of greed and power. Miho asked the creature if he remember anything about the stars and kinds of fishes he had seen. The creature said yes and Miho asked him to draw the brightest stars he had seen and also the fishes. Once she had those she asked the creature to rest while she used the creatures drawings to locate the place he was from. She walked into the operations center and feed the drawings into the computers to search for the location from where the stars would look like that on the horizon and had fishes of that kind in the waters. All three of us (Miho, myself and the wolf) were just glued to the screen to see if the computers could locate something. As luck would have it the computers soon came up with the general location. Miho then tasked one of her satellite to comb the area with powerful cameras for islands with signs of some kind of civilization however rudimentary. The place they were searching was so remote that no country's satellite had ever bothered to look at the area and no ship or plane ever traveled anywhere near that location. Hence until now the creatures had not been found. The satellite sent back live feed of the area it was searching and then on the screen came this small island with something that looked like huts near the water. There was another island nearby that was covered in dense trees. Then we zoomed in and we could see a lonely female figure similar to the creature sitting on the beach staring into the ocean. We all jumped with joy. We had found the place! Miho ran to the creature with the good news and brought him back to the operations center for him to take a look and confirm that they had indeed found his home. The creature burst into tears as he saw his companion for life siting on the beach looking out into the ocean... He knew she was thinking about him and was wondering what had happened to him.... Miho consoled him and said they will take him there and that he would be reunited with his companion and fellow creatures in a very short while. I went to get the hyper plane ready for departure. Miho and the wolf stayed with the creature to give him company and they all kept looking at the lonely figure on the beach. The creature kept touching the screen.... Everything was ready and we took off in the hyper plane 10 minutes later. It was going to be a short ride at maximum speed. As we approached that island, Miho kept the invisibility cloak around the hyper plane active. She did not want to create panic among the creatures. Just imagine if a alien spacecraft was to appear over our cities how would we all react. She told the creature that it would be better if he swam to the island first and then talked to his fellow creatures and explained about Miho, me, the wolf and other things like the hyper plane before we landed on the beach. She passed him a small communication device and told him to let us know once he thought they were ready to see us. Miho hovered the hyper plane inches above the calm waters a kilometer away from the island. The creature was so exited that the moment the doors opened, he dived into the water and swam very fast to the island. That was a fairly short distance for them and they were strong swimmers. As the creature almost reached the island, his companion saw him in the waters and shouted with joy, jumped up and ran to him. They hugged and cried together for sometime... each not saying any word. Filled with joy and happiness they finally got up and his companion just couldn't stop asking him about what had happened to him and where he was for so many days and what happened to his boat. He explained everything to her. Then they took a small boat and went to the other island nearby where the actual tribe lived. It was hilly and full of trees. There the creature told his story again about how he was captured and how Miho, me and the wolf had helped save him and also heal him and how they helped him shutdown the place when he had been tortured. He also told them Miho was the one who managed to find this place and bring him back. He explained to them that they should not be afraid of what they where about to see. And then he told Miho over the communication device to land on the other island near the huts and he will come over and get them. Miho landed and we all three exited the hyper plane. The creature came to us and we three followed him into the boat and went to the other island. Everyone there were at first were very apprehensive of us, specially the wolf as this was the first time they had seen people and a creature like the wolf. But soon Miho's charm won them over and we all sat there chit chatting. The kids played with Miho's hair. They had not seen hair like that. But they did stay away from the wolf. The creatures threw a feast on our behave with fishes and fruits and we all had a nice meal with them. They were so curious to know about us. What we were, where we come from etc. Finally it was time to say goodbye and take our farewell. The creature and his companion came with us in the boat to the other island where the hyper plane was parked. They still had their arms linked together. Such was the love between them. I said my goodbye and boarded the hyper plane first. Miho put her hands around the creature's shoulder reassuringly and said to the creature to take care of himself and his tribe and that if he ever needed any help to reach her using the communication device she had given him. The creature asked if they will ever see her again. Miho smiled and said of course they will. She will regularly come by and visit them. That made both the creature and his companion very happy. Miho hugged both of them and said her goodbye. Even the wolf gave them both a friendly lick and then both Miho and the wolf got into the hyper plane. With a final wave from the cockpit windows, we took off and headed back to one of Miho's private airport. It had been hectic and exciting last couple of days and though there was much work ahead to do to unravel the corporation's evil work fully, it was time to wind down and get some proper rest.......

About this render :

I wanted to bring the story I started with Game over to a closure. And this farewell scene had come to my mind. I reused part of the scene I had created for Let's go and get it done... and added 2 huts, a boat and some baskets with a net draped to the scene to show that the creatures had a simple life and they were mainly fishermen. I posed the creature and her companion with arms linked. They are actually the 'Mathius Vampire' and 'Lavinia Vampire' available at daz. I just used textures from other characters on them to give a different look than the original texture that came with them. Then I posed Miho as though she was reassuring the creature. I hope I got the look correct and that it shows how much she cared. Then I added 'me' in the background on the steps of the plane and finally added the wolf next to them. I am happy to be back to doing sunny renders of Miho, she looks gorgeous in them ;) ! I have purposefully left the sand almost overexposed as it is a clear and bright sunny day and sands do look very bright under hot sun on a clear day. I think the wolf's fur looks really good. It pays to spend time to get the materials right in the material editor. I again used a wide angle with perspective correction and spherical distortion to curve the horizon and show the two huts and the partial spacecraft in the view. Otherwise I got the distorted stretch view on the edges like you see in a wide angle photo. This one took 7+ hours to clear the wolf's fur. Using secular material does make it look more real but it does need a lot more render time to look good.

Useful information :

The trick to load so many sci-fi containers in my last render was to use instancing. Basically you load one item and set it up and then use instancing to make copies of it on the scene. The only issue will be they will look exactly the same and you cannot change the materials of them individually. In any case I do have an extremely powerful workstation. Built it myself. It has 128GB RAM, 8 core CPU and 4 Titan-X GPUs. Both the CPU and the GPUs have individual hybrid liquid / air coolers. Even the case is massive. And it is powered by a 1500 Watts PSU. And all that though has saved me countless hours, it did cost a bomb to build and well, turning it on means the utility bill goes through the roof.
Hope you all like the render ! Rendered in Daz Studio using the Octane Plugin. No post work done. Do click zoom if you can to see the details... Full size 1750x1000. My previous render - "Shut it down !" f5b663d2b5cb6c213d4550f21c35235d_thumbna Click the thumbnail to view it. Enjoy =) ! Rajib

splendid render and excellent staging ! J'ai bien aimé la rencontre de Miho et des créatures, et son souci d'avoir de bons rapports avec ces étranges créatures! La création n'est pas toujours aisée !!!
