Description
There were hundreds of these flitting around at the arboretum in Redding when we visited there. They actually had a beautiful blue iridescence & touches of yellow, but the only photos I got of them that captured those colors were too blurry, so I was left with only a few decent ones that unfortunately didn't capture the colors very well. I think I could have done better if I had been there on my own & had more time, but I was travelling with my wife & grandson & couldn't linger too long. Maybe next time...
I believe these are pipevine swallowtails, but I could be wrong...
