A very poignant and fitting image Mark. The bastards who carry out these atrocities are many more times worse than the pigs they purport to dislike !!

A very sad time what do these animals hope to gain by this and all their other killings there was in an time so long ago when they were caught they would have been Hang, Drawn and quartered what's happens now it is not the ones who carry the bombs and kill themselfs with it, that need to be stopped but those who give the orders and make the bombs it is not just our flag that they want to pull down it is our land

Land of hope and glory....!

Rule Britannia!

Not yet like WWII. We survived that. And we will survive and overcome this, too! Hope and strength. Keep up the good work! :-)

Yes, and it happened again [!] and more attacks are imminent... I also feel for the victims and have a lot of empathy for those families left behind, it breaks my heart just like yours... unless we change our tune and attitude by not letting uneducated proletarians get away with this kind of treatment, forced unto us.

History has told us, that war is a great currency for all leaders around the world... So, let's tell all our Governments around the world ~ "enough is enough"~ we are not gonna take it anymore ! We've got the internet, so let's use it and spread the news that, we are fighting back... [or it could be us next time], strangely enough I've said it before, I am not a fighter and I hate wars and wouldn't want to do it out of revenge - but I won't be intimidated either.

The time has come... and it's long overdue, how much longer are we to hold still and except this type of killing machine? how much more are we supposed to take ? - unless we can show them differently - maybe show them how to 'love them to death' - HELLO ? or maybe with some Western education - HELLO ? once more ! - but not by burying our heads in the sand - instead show them and band together, that we are not afraid ! Let's hear our voices and complain to our governments! remember this, my motto is: "THE SQUEAKY WHEEL WILL ALWAYS GET THE OIL ! " time and time again, have I proven that to myself, it does work in the end...

I think of myself as a levelheaded and kind of person and unfortunately haven't had higher school education, but my own life education and experiences have made up for it in leaps and bounds and like the majority of people, I am a free thinker and feel hindered by stupidity and non- common sense of local Governments. The majority of those in Government offices, haven't had real life experiences as yet, mainly sitting in their little sandcastles and making up the constant new rules/laws... being detached from reality, they rarely have done the hard yards and cannot speak of experience, like us grey nomads. So how would they know, what we want ?

LOVE, PEACE & VIVA LA REVOLUTION 🖖

A poignant image, Mark, I saw this when you posted it and I appreciate the feelings behind it. You've been all over the world and seen many things, posts like these have much behind them. While I hope to be a 'spiritual' person, I have no convictions about a supreme being, am open to all faiths and no faiths (some of the most moral people I've known are atheists) (I remain agnostic), and I spent some years in gatherings, forums and dialogues on inter and no faith; and it's so painful that faith, which is only belief, has been used as a weapon for so long on this planet. And then, these murders are prompted by things having little to do with faith, so that's only part of the cause. Then again, scriptures are still created by people, no matter what one believes of their source; they're put into words by people; so they all have the foibles, fears, hatreds and so on that are part of the human race, right alongside the desires, aspirations, inspirations and so on. They're side by side, sometimes in the same passage. All the more reason to approach them with reason, question, and compassion for human frailty, rather than with dogma. I have no idea if the man who did the Manchester killings (there have just been killings again, in London), or if any of these killers have any religious reason, or if they were just obsessed, drugged with hatred so to speak. I don't know. I just know that it seems to have no conclusion. I know that history (which you studied as well) tells us that the west has been at war with the Arab peoples for centuries; that, in the middle ages, Islamic forces were at the gates of Paris while the west sent its forces to the Middle East to supposedly make them 'Christians', when in fact their goal was no different than the Islamic armies' goals: to loot and pillage and take the riches home to their lands. That was the largest reason. But can that justify attacks now? It's just such a shame, because these murderers are living in free societies---with all their terrible imperfections---and the possibility of tolerance and freedom is theirs for the taking. Why choose to this? Why not choose the more open and peaceful way?

If I were there, if I witnessed these killings first hand, I don't know what I would feel. I think revenge would grab me for a while. I just feel terrible that it happened to people who weren't in combat, to young people, and people who were there united in the joy of a performance (by Grande, who was heartbroken), and I wish it would never happen again. War is awful enough, but in civilian life? I hope we plow the way out, so the next generation doesn't have to think of a solution. Thanks again for raising the banner of togetherness. Given where you've been and what you've seen, I appreciate it greatly.

Very, very sad ~

And yet another one to deal with as I write this..

My Father once told me War is inevitable to keep the world population down-- just like animals that keep killing each other

sadly. That was way back in my teen yrs. Looks closer than I hope to realize.

Sad, so, So sad.
