(I'm starting from where I last left off, btw...) "Burl" is from a Latin root meaning "wool". Apt word---they look like tufts of wool. Another in your series of these tree deformities, with real dynamic flow and bulges---and your wonderful early morning light (one of your signatures as a photographer). The angle of the path and grass contrast with the trunk perfectly. And the burls are beautiful and fascinating. Beautiful capture. This is a big and constantly fascinating series...
