Thanks for reminding everyone. So easy to forget the freedoms we have have come at a price. The freedom to create gave us computers and software we are using to look at this page. It gave us cars. And all the blessings we too often take for granted. Thanks for reminding us. Keep up the good work! :-)

My respect for veterans began with the Civil and Revolutionary War graves on a plot of land next to my grandfather's house. He mowed the grass and others kept up the GAR and other medals and the flags and flowers. Now, then-- I have been to Warner Robbins AFB museum and seen Korean War exhibits stuffed into side closet yet the docent was a mechanic on an FJ-2. Today's Army seems to need most weapons to resist libel.

Thanks for the reminder Harry. Hat's off to you too for your service so many years ago. I have a plot waiting for me in a very big and beautiful VA cemetery. Just hope I won't need it anytime soon:-)

I had genuinely intended to drop you a note, on Memorial Day, but I just forgot to reach out to anyone that day. (I have several veterans in my life.) My apology, because I never forget your service, both on those days and on all others. I've spoken to veterans of the European theater, in WWII, who said they thanked god they didn't have to fight in the Pacific. I remain eternally grateful for what you did and went through, so I could be sitting here, writing this comment today. Many bows to you, and all the others...As for this shot, you capture the sweep and roll of a large veteran cemetery, bringing home the reality of so many lost, now in peace. A touching tribute. Many thanks for it as well.
