Description

This, of course, is a favorite DAZ Studio scene, the ruins of an old insane asylum, called West Park. Here is a render I made of this scene and this is one of my first renders using the Iray render engine. I myself was struck by the realism of the engine. By Jove, the place looks like a real place and the render looks like a photograph of an actual place. Enjoy.

And you even got the camera flash in the middle of the door! Spooky place to be! Keep up the good work with these experimental renders. And let us know how you do each render. That's part of the Renderosity idea - helping each other do things better. :-)

I don't quite remember how I did the flash on the window. I think that it was either the default headlight that DAZ uses in case there are no added lights in the scene, or I had added a point light just above the camera in the scene. I think it was the second one. Because it took me a long time to figure out how bright to make the light so as to make the scene visible.
