Description
I am excited to say that I have many new images to share! My wife and I have just returned from Wales, UK. I realized a couple of things during this trip. First, I missed photography!! Second, I really need to look into a high end all in one type camera. The vast majority of vacation photos are exactly like this. Scenery. I large zoom is not needed. I have grown tired of changing lenses. I have grown tired of keeping people waiting while I get the right setting and shot. I have grown tired of lugging this stuff through security at airports. But know this. I have not grown tired of this amazing thing we call photography! Cheers!

Well I cam see you enjoyed that trip mate, great that yo did too, I am forever moaning and groaning about the weight of a 400mm prime, and a 1 series Canon, but still I keep adding to it LOL!, oh well one day I may change it all? But I dig your ethos, I went out the other day with seven lenses and two bodies, ended up using just the one body and lens :( Great shot mate.

I love the look you've gotten with these pale colors, and your composition with the boardwalk is superb. Always a pleasure to see your work, old friend!

I downsized to a rx100 and find it much easier to live with although it's drawback is a lack of zoom. Love the colours you've captured here.

What a composition Fred. Love the line of the boardwalk and the fact that you kept it in context by showing us the bay and the adjacent headland.
I have given up on the big, heavy stuff (standard DSLR). I've cut my weight in half by switching to a mirrorless camera. However mine still has interchangeable lenses...just lighter ones:-)

A very beautiful view, most excellent!

Ha as a confirmed SLR man I love getting the chance to change a lens or 3! But I understand what you mean mate. The photographer makes the photo....NEVER the camera....just my opinion! Keep shooting with whatever Fred. Andrew.

Gorgeous shot! Have fun finding the best easy camera for you. I am glad you are posting again. You make gorgeous images.

I got tired of all that when I went digital ! All my pics are with a secondhand handheld point and shoot and I keep it in my back pocket all the time. Most of the insects won't wait for you to focus, change lenses, get out a tripod etc. Great to see you back, love the pic.

Beautiful capture Fred. I like the composition very much. I am looking forward to see more of your photos, hopefully with a camera that achieves your requirements.

Great news! For this reason I do have one camera with 24/240 lens, so I am able to take my photo bag, my mountain bike and having fun. Wonderful landscape and remember me a vacation we have been in Wales some years back.

I have thought about a mirror-less interchangeable lens camera but I still love my 5D Mark III and been looking at a 5D Mark IV. I drive most of the time so carrying my lens is not a problem. my last trip I took my telephoto so I would use it.
great capture of this seascape
