Parys Mountain Anglesey, also known as Copper mountain was once the biggest Copper mine in the world ( in the 18th century) Copper has been mined here for 4000 years!

Wow Steve, it looks like the American West and the Southwest due to the shapes of these and the coloring of other images I've seen. Hard to believe you're in Wales! Just beautiful.

And most of that copper went to the Mediterranean countries to make bronze items. There are similar mines in the region of the Great Lakes in the USA. Much copper from there also went to the Mediterranean. Interesting to see what the miners have left behind - a ruined landscape among other things. But at the same time very interesting. I wonder how much copper was extracted here. Keep up the good work! :-)
