Newsgirl Kelsey’s hunt for a notorious gangster has led her to a private club in a seedy neighborhood of Chicago. She is telling the bartender that she heard from girl friend that the club is looking for a new girl singer. And as a new girl in town (so she says) she needs a job and doesn’t mind working late hours. It is prohibition so the bottles behind the bar contain colored water and the taps dispense near beer, but if you are a club member in good standing the bartender will serve you a real drink.
