comparison of 3Delight vs Iray - used the character Ambie (Genesis 2, I think) - used the lights for !Gabi as supplied with DAZ for both renders. I hope you enjoy this

Nice comparison, but don't forget to play with shaders too, there are lots of options for Iray skin shaders ;)

Wonderful comparison here, Mike. The lighting is much more dramatic on the Iray side, but there is infinite possibility with a 3delight render too, particularly for anyone who wants to do a lot of painting (and also it's just so much faster).

I prefer the Iray. The image shows more detail but perhaps that is because the light is much brighter. Rod has the right word, "alive".

There is a difference, but IRAY is sooooo slow. I can make up the lighting in photoshop; it's just not worth the wait for the kind of art I do.
