In the American West of the 19th century a spotted horse was known as a “paint”. So when a cowboy referred to his elderly spotted horse he would often call it “old paint”. I love the ornamentation on these old lamp posts. They serve no useful purpose except to delight the eye. And when they are gone we will have nothing left but bland, utilitarian designs. Just like everything else. Fortunately we have your superb images to show us what we have lost.

Both look awesome, and really show their age in different ways.

You are very talented and have a very creative eye for subjects to fill your camera Andrea.

I really don't know any one as artistic as you Andrea. It is a honour and pleasure to see what you share here.

Your indoor collectables, your flower garden, your antiques and your outside foreign objects never cease to amaze me.

It truly is a honour to have met you here at Rendo.

Love the contrast of red and green. A very natural looking abstract. Well captured.
