That's absolutely much better. The whole image is much more dynamic; there is a real feeling of movement and action.

A few ideas for further improvement (no, I never really stop ;-):

The horse still looks a little stiff. A bit of postwork making the mane and tail look more like actual hair would go a long way.

A slight motion blur on the horse and rider may give more intense feeling of motion. If you rendered this in Bryce (as I believe you have, but correct me if I'm wrong), you can make render a mask of the horse and rider, and thus easily isolate them for postwork. Another idea that may be worth trying, is giving just the rider's sword a motion blur; making it look he's moving the sword. Perhaps triumphantly describing an arc?

I still feel the image would benefit from a more panoramic view; with the horse and rider as far left as it is now, and the castle just as far right, but with more space in the middle (if that made any sense at all).

(Now, can someone tell me why I'm so much better at telling others on how to improve than at coming up with ideas on my own? ;-)

I agree on Zicon on a number of things, the horse back legs look like they are on their Tips rather then flat as a horse would be in such a poser., Althought he motion blur would be nice if your not up to that Task, add a nice soft len's flare to the tip of the sword. and yes, the mane and tail could use a touch up. other then that. I need to talk to you about a few things that you to to make this!!..lol ;-)
